Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Vantage, our pricing model, data handling, and how to get started.

General

Priimal Technologies AS is a Norway-registered analytics company. We built Vantage, a platform that detects and helps recover revenue losses for utilities, insurers, telecoms, government agencies and employee benefits programmes.

Vantage is our analytics platform. It takes an organisation's own data, such as meter readings, claims, subscriber records or account data, and scores it to surface cases where money is likely being lost or leaking out.

Most organisations that bill or pay out at scale lose a meaningful share of revenue to things like theft, fraud, billing errors and unbilled services. That loss is usually hidden inside data the organisation already has: it just hasn't been analysed the right way. Vantage finds it.

Utilities (electricity and water non-technical loss), insurers (claims integrity), government revenue bodies (tax and revenue assurance), telecoms (subscriber revenue assurance) and employee benefits and social programmes (payment integrity).

Priimal Technologies AS is registered in Norway. Vantage serves customers across Norway, the EU and beyond.

How Vantage works

You give Vantage your existing data (a meter portfolio, a claims file, subscriber records and so on). Vantage scores every record and flags the ones that look anomalous enough to be worth a closer look. Those flagged records become "cases" that you can review, investigate and act on.

It depends on the product line, but generally it's the data you already hold: things like meter readings and billing history for a utility, or claims records for an insurer. You don't need new infrastructure or new data collection to get started.

No. Vantage sits alongside your existing billing, metering or claims systems. It analyses data you already have and hands back cases for your team to act on; it doesn't take over collection, billing or payment processes.

A case is a record Vantage has identified as high risk after scoring. Every record is scored statistically first, and only the ones that clear that bar go through a further AI review step. Only flagged cases, each with a score and a written explanation, are ever shown to you.

There's always a human in the loop on your side. Vantage surfaces cases with supporting evidence; it doesn't take automated action like cutting off a customer or triggering a field visit. Any follow-up action, such as dispatching a field inspector, is always triggered manually by someone on your team.

Yes. Vantage supports natural language queries against your own case data, so you can ask questions and get answers without needing to write reports or filters yourself. It only works with your organisation's own data, and it doesn't create or change any case.

Product lines

Five active product lines, each aimed at a specific kind of revenue loss: Pulse — utility non-technical loss and non-revenue water detection. Claim — insurance claims integrity and fraud detection. Ledger — tax and government revenue assurance. Signal — telecoms revenue assurance. Assure — employee benefits and social programme payment integrity.

For Pulse, Ledger, Signal and Assure, you upload your full portfolio (every meter, account or subscriber) so records can be scored against each other. Claim works differently: you upload only the claims themselves, not your entire customer base.

Yes. The product lines share the same underlying platform, so an organisation with both a metering business and, say, an insurance arm could run more than one.

Getting started

There's a structured path designed to let you prove value before committing to anything: demo access with pre-populated sample accounts, a free public-data report, a free trial on your own data, a paid pilot, and then an ongoing subscription. You can stop at any stage.

Sign up for demo access. This gives you a pre-populated demo account so you can explore Vantage and see how it works before any of your own data is involved.

A Scout report is a free first look, built from publicly available information about your organisation, that gives an early read on where revenue loss is likely and how large the opportunity might be. It's provided as information only and doesn't represent output from Vantage itself, since no customer data has been analysed at this stage.

Flash is a free, time-limited trial run on a sample of your own data. It's a low-commitment way to see how Vantage performs on your actual records before any money changes hands. Flash trials are reviewed and approved by our team rather than self-serve, since running one carries a real cost for us.

A Sprint is a paid pilot that runs full analytics across a larger, defined slice of your data. It's typically followed by a structured review before you decide whether to move to an ongoing subscription.

You decide whether to move to an ongoing subscription. If you choose not to continue, there's no obligation to do so.

Data, security and AI

Data is handled under our published Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Policy, and we apply the security practices set out in our Security Overview. We only use your data to deliver the service to you.

Yes. Scoring uses a two-stage process: every record is scored statistically first, and only flagged candidates are passed to an AI model for a full score, explanation and confidence rating. We use Anthropic's Claude models for this step, and that's disclosed in our AI Transparency Statement.

No. Your data is used to deliver your results, not to train external models.

Yes, on-premises deployment is a supported option for customers with data sovereignty requirements, alongside our standard cloud deployment.

Only your organisation. Cases, scores and reports are tenant-specific: nothing is shared across customers, and results are visible only to the people you authorise within your account.

Hardware: the OR7000 optical meter reader

No. Vantage runs on data you already have. Whether your meters are read manually, semi-automatically or digitally, Vantage can work with that data from day one.

The OR7000 is an optical retrofit reader that clips onto an existing analogue meter and reads it automatically, without replacing the meter itself. It's an optional add-on to Pulse, not a requirement.

It reads the meter that's already installed rather than replacing it, so there's no disruption to your existing metering infrastructure. It's aimed at utilities who want more frequent, automated readings without a full smart meter rollout.

No. The OR7000 improves the frequency and quality of data feeding into Vantage, but Vantage's core analytics work on whatever meter data you already collect.

Partnering with Priimal

Yes. We work with a global network of Market Partners who bring Vantage to customers in their territory, alongside direct self-serve access to the platform.

Partners typically start at an entry level and can progress to a territory-level role as they demonstrate results, with exclusivity arrangements that scale accordingly. Get in touch if you'd like to discuss this route.
